We did the heavy lifting for you and optimized this package based on our experience and what we would put in our own boat. I'm Jeff and I am the owner. Bigger is Better - The larger 8" speakers simply sound better than the smaller, 6.5" speakers a nd this is especially true with the Rockford M2 8" speakers. If you have the space and budget, we always recommend going with the larger speakers. They handle more power, there's more surface area for mid-bass response, and the larger speakers just play louder.
250W RMS Power Handling - The more power you can send to your marine speakers, the louder they will play and the better they will sound. The M2-8 speakers can handle up to 250W RMS which is more power than most 8" marine speakers on the market.
1" PXNX Tweeters - The PXNX tweeter uses a proprietary material that delivers both volume and balance. These tweeters are bright enough to cut through engine, wind, and water noise but they don't sound harsh. It's the best of both worlds where you get the balance and depth of a silk-dome tweeter but the volume of a titanium dome tweeter without having to make sacrifices.
Both Sport & Stainless Mesh Grilles Included - The speakers include both the 6-spoke style sport grilles and the stainless steel mesh grilles.
Choose the Amplifier that Best Fits Your Installation - There are several amplifier options, none of which are bad.
If budget is not a concern, this is the the amplifier setup we recommend, in order.

We would rather have too much amp and keep the gain turned down vs. not having enough power, maxing out the gain, and turning the volume up because we want it louder. That typically leads to distortion, distortion leads to blown speakers, and blown speakers make us sad.
ColorOptix RGB LEDs - Wiring the RGB LEDs typically requires cutting, crimping, soldering, and it can turn into a headache. With Rockford's ColorOptix RGB LED system, everything is plug and play when you use their PMX-RGB LED controller and their ColorOptix cables (Sold Separately). Plug one end of the cable into the controller and the other end into the speaker and you are good to go. Save yourself the time and the headache.
Option to Add an Amp Wiring Kit - If you don't already have an amplifier installed in your boat, we recommend adding the Stinger SEA4247 4 AWG amp wiring kit. This kit includes equal length power and ground cable so that you can easily run the power wires back to your battery.
