The Rockford Fosgate PMX-1 is one of the best options for an affordable, square-style marine head unit. The PMX-1 has many of the same features as the PMX-2, but the main difference is the display. The PMX-1 comes with a white/black dot matrix display while the PMX-2 comes with a full-color TFT display. This head unit has just about everything you expect from a head unit today. The PMX-1 comes with Bluetooth, USB, and AUX input. It also has an AM/FM tuner and it comes with front pre-outs and a selectable rear/subwoofer pre-out.
