Wet Sounds REVO 6 Speakers
The Wet Sounds REVO 6 speakers are among the best speakers you can put in your boat. Wet Sounds does marine grade audio only and they do it well. The REVO 6 speakers come with a titanium dome tweeter that is bright enough to cut through the wind, air, and water noise, but will not sound harsh.
The REVO 6 speakers can handle 100 watts RMS and are a great fit for the HTX6 amplifier. The REVO 6 speakers are available in many different grille options and in black, white, and silver. The REVO 6 speakers come with RGB LEDs built-in to the speaker grille and located behind the tweeter. You can wire the RGB LEDs to a fixed color
or add an RGB LED controller that will allow you to change colors and modes. The REVO 6 are some of the best sounding 6.5" marine speakers in the world and they are built to withstand anything mother nature can throw at them.
Wet Sounds REVO 10" Subwoofer
To fill out the bottom end of your stereo system, this kit includes a 10" Wet Sounds REVO 10 subwoofer. The subwoofer is designed for open-air installation which means you can install directly into the hull of your boat, without needing an enclosure. However, we do recommend re-inforcing the hull around the subwoofer for maximum performance.
The REVO 10 subwoofer has a single 4 ohm voice coil which is perfect for the HTX6 amplifier when bridged. The 10" Wet Sounds REVO subwoofer can handle 300 watts to ensure that you get full range sound in your boat. We include a subwoofer grille with this kit that will match your speakers. So, if you order white speakers, you will get a white subwoofer with the matching
white grille. If you select black or silver speakers, we include the black subwoofer and the grille to mach the speakers.
Wet Sounds HTX6 Amplifier
The Wet Sounds HTX6 amplifier is ideal for powering the four REVO 6 speakers and the single, 10" subwoofer. The HTX6 puts out 100 watts RMS to each channel at 4 ohms for the speakers. Then, you will need to bridge channels 5 & 6 and wire those two channels to power the subwoofer with 300 watts RMS at 4 ohms. The HTX6 is a true, marine grade amplifier and uses
Class D circuitry to deliver tons of clean power. The Class D circuitry and full-size chassis help ensure that the amplifier runs as cool as possible, ensuring that you can play your stereo as loud as you want, for as long as you want, regardless of the temperature.
4 AWG Amp Wiring Kit
We include a 4 AWG, marine amp wiring kit to power the amp. The 4 AWG power wire is 7 meters long which should be enough wire to run to the battery on virtually all boats. The power wire is "Siamese" wire where the red and yellow wires are molded together like speaker wire. The amp wiring kit includes a fuse and fuse holder, remote wire, and terminals for connections.
How do I wire the speakers?
You will wire the speakers to channels 1-4 on the amplifier and wire each speaker in parallel. Connect positive on the amp to positive on the speaker, and negative on the amp to negative on the speaker for each of the 4 speakers. Do not wire the speakers to channels 5 and 6 as those are used to power the subwoofer.
How do I wire the subwoofer?
You will bridge use the 5th and 6th channel on the HTX6 amplifier to power the subwoofer. Follow the diagram on the amplifier user manual and connect positive from on channel 5 to positive on the subwoofer and negative on channel 6 to negative on the subwoofer.
How do I wire the LEDs in the speakers?
In order to wire the LEDs, you will need 6 conductor speaker wire. It is known by several different names, multi-function speaker wire, 6 conductor speaker wire, RGB Speaker wire, etc. The speaker wire has 2 wires to power the speakers and 4 additional wires to power the LEDs, one red, one blue, one green, and one ground. If you only want your lights to light up 1 color and they just
stay that color the entire time, simply connect the red wire for red, the blue wire for blue, or the green wire for green and then the ground wire. If you want more color options (up to 20), or the ability to change between 19 color changing and flashing modes, you can add an RGB LED controller and you can have a full on disco party on your boat.
Is a subwoofer grille included?
Yes, this package includes the REVO 10" subwoofer grille to match the speakers. However, the subwoofer grille does not include LEDs like the speakers do.
Is the amp wiring kit included?
Yes. We include a 4 AWG, 7-meter long, marine amp wiring kit for the amplifier. It contains everything you need to power the amplifier, including a fuse.
What about the RCAs?
This kit does not include the RCA cables. There is too much variation depending on the boat and the head unit. It's imposible to know the right length and or the correct quantities.
Is speaker wire included?
Speaker wire is not included. Once again, we don't know the exact length you might need.
The Bottom Line
If you want it loud and you want RGB LED lights in your speakers, the Wet Sounds REVO 6 package is perfect. The REVO 10 subwoofer is going to fill out the bottom end of your music to give you true, full-range sound.
